Updates for June 29th

Once again today is a boring day for trades since nothing really happened execpt for a few trades, re-signings, and one terminated contract.

Updates
The Boston Bruins traded a 2017 3rd round draft pick to the Philadephia Flyers for forward Zac Rinaldo.

The San Jose Sharks traded defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser to the St.Louis Blues for a conditional 2016 7th round draft pick.

The Los Angeles Kings terminated the contract of forward Mike Richards without commenting why they made that decision.

Personally, I would like the Kings to post a reason why they made this choice. Richards had to do something to make them want to do this but it can not be as bad. When Slava Voynov is currently on trial for domestic violence but got suspened and Jarret Stoll was arrested for cocaine but the charges were dismissed. It could be for cap space butif it was they would of announced it. But for now Richards will be avaiable to be a free agent by July 1st.

The Chicago Blackhawks are getting ready to re-sign one of their top forwards, Brandon Saad, for the upcoming future but the two are not on the same page (Source here). Some sources stated that Saad agreed to take a cut from his contract to stay with Chicago. The team does not have much room left with their cap space with the signing of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane last season to pay the price that Saad wants. If Saad does not agree with what the team offers he can begin to talk to teams tomorrow.

Also today the inductees for the Hockey Hall of Fame which include Niklas Lidstrom, Sergei Fedorov, Chris Pronger, Phil Housley, Angela Ruggiero, Bill Hay, and Peter Karmanos. As a Wing's fan, I am extremely excited and proud to have 2 more Red Wing's players to enter into the HHOF. But congrats to all the inductees and can not wait to watch them being inducted into it soon.
