Stanley Cup Champions

Congrats to the 2015 Stanley Cup Champions the Chicago Blackhawks!

The Chicago Blackhawks have won their 6th Stanley Cup for their franchise and their 3rd Stanley Cup in the past 6 years. The only team to have done that before them was the Detroit Red Wings.

The team as a whole played with their strength and proved they wanted it. They had a great season coming in 4th in the Western Conference when the playoffs started. When they first began they faced the Nashville Predators and won their series 4-2. After a rocky start with Corey Crawford, they replaced him with Scott Darling in the whole series to prove himself and saved the team. The 2nd round they faced the Minnesota Wild where they made an easy sweep. Then, they faced the not so mighty Ananhiem Ducks with a series of 4-3. Lastly in the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning where they won 4-2.

The Blackhawks had an outstanding defense throughout the playoffs and had Duncan Keith playing up to 30 mins of ice time. Keith proved himself and won the Conn Symthe. On surviving with pretty much 4 defensemen while the other 2 were seeing up to 5 mins deserves to win a cup.

Overall Tampa Bay had good chances but messed up with goal chances and just could not find the back of the net most of the time. Ben Bishop was not at his best. Along with Tyler Johnson who just admitted that he had broken wrist earlier in the series but still continued to play which can affect the way a player plays. The best player for them was Valtteri Filppula, he brought his "A game" and had beautiful passes.

But now the season has come to an end and we must wait another 4 months until a new season begins.

Once again congrats to the Chicago Blackhawks and their fanbase on winning their 6th Stanley Cup. Enjoy the parade and summer.
